This cake was based off of an earlier wedding cake I had done in periwinkle. The colour is different here, and I used pink tipped sweetheart roses instead of pure white roses. (September 2008)

- The story of me and my love affair with all things pretty and cake! I studied at George Brown College for Culinary Arts and realized that cooking was great (but baking for me was WONDERFUL), but there was still something missing. After much soul searching I came to the conclusion that I was happiest as a fine arts student through earlier years of school. That little something that was missing turned out to be a craving for some sort of creative outlet. After a few years of baking and self taught cake decorating techniques (mainly through trial and error), I found myself looking to take cake to another level. I decided that I liked how cakes don't need to be confined to cylindrical shapes or squarish cubes of goodness. The possibilities are endless! Yes, Chef Duff is my hero :P So the combination of my love for baking and fine art brought life to Cloud 9.
